June 29, 4 – 9 pm, Church of the Epiphany, 1317 G St. NW
Join teens from Hill Havurah and the Islamic Society of the Washington Area to prepare, serve and share a community meal with homeless and hungry guests who are living in a local shelter or on the street. During the program, organized by the Youth Service Opportunities Project (YSOP), participants learn about homelessness from professional YSOP staff and then prepare a meal, which is then shared over games and conversation with the guests. Program fee is $36 per person and community service hours may be awarded. Register by calling the Temple Micah office or emailing Ronit Zemel.
