The Ethics of Memory, by Avishai Margalit, explores memory, interpersonal relations, and the complexities and concerns that arise when humans connect with one another. “Avishai Margalit is the greatest philosopher the State of Israel has produced, and the book describes how our memories inform our identities and therefore play a vital role in shaping how we value our relationships with other people,” says Rabbi Zemel.
