Refreshing Your High Holy Day Experience: Make This Year Different

A Wise Aging open session, Thursday, August 15, 10:30 am

Everyone is invited to a special Wise Aging session, titled “Prayers of Awe.”  Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are also known as the Days of Awe, Yamim HaNora’im. Using the rich materials in our High Holiday Prayer Books, Mishkan HaNefesh, we will begin the work of preparing ourselves for spiritual review and renewal.  We will study and discuss three familiar, but challenging prayers of awe – Avinu Malkenu, Kol Nidre, and Un’taneh Tokef – that are at the core of the liturgy. Perhaps this year, during your engagement with these prayers, you will discover new insights and spiritual awareness that will make Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur more meaningful to your life.

The session will be led by Ed Grossman and Ivan Sindell.

Please register by email and read-ahead materials will be sent to you.

In addition, new Wise Aging cohorts are forming. These are small groups led by trained facilitators that meet for 9 sessions to explore the journey of aging. Sign up here or contact us for more information.
