Young Family Shabbat
We offer a family service for families with toddlers and children through first grade, generally on the second Friday of each month at 6:00 pm. Young Family Shabbat is on hiatus for the summer.
The services are led by Associate Rabbi Rabbi Josh Beraha. This is a perfect way to introduce children to the temple and familiarize them with Shabbat worship, and it gives families an opportunity to connect with one another. The emphasis at these services is on music, movement, storytelling and fun.
After the half-hour service there is a Shabbat dinner followed by arts and crafts. Dinner is $5.00 per person. Children under 2 years of age may eat for free.
In addition to our monthly Friday evening program, the Young Family Shabbat community meets on select Saturday mornings for outdoor activities, such as apple picking.
